Hi,
I wanted to write a script that can calculate modal refractive index in a rectangular wave guide for different wavelength. However I found it rather difficult to do it. I could not find the variable that is related to this calculation in the VB scripting manuals for the software as well.
Has anyone tried something like this before?
Thank for any suggestion in advance.

Hi Anish,
You can perform a parameter sweep via scripting to get this information. Actually if you go to the Tools tab there is an option for generating a “Dispersion Script” you can set the two boundary wavelengths and the number of steps.
Regards
Thank you Damian for your help.
