Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

Hello.
May I ask? Is it my SBS system design has any problem either in design or setting?
This is because the trend of the transmitted output power in the graph plotted unable to be constant at a point of SBS threshold. Instead, the power is continue increasing. BUt the trend of the backscattered power is same as the theory in the book. Actually I have tried and referred other journals but still cannot solve it and no idea on how to fix it.
Khoo,
if you see in the Brillouin scattering section, there are two values MAx. and Min power reference.
these values will give you the required curve behaviour!
could you please either send me the theory from book clear in a complete section to check it with you.
hope that helps,
Mohamed Abouseif
