I wish to know how can we relate sampling rate and baud rate for DP-QPSK modulation format and what could be the mathematical expression. And what should be the optimum value of sample rate of an optical filter used as a constituent of multiplexer.
Hi,
In general Baud rate is the symbol rate. so if symbol has (for example) two bits then the Baud rate is 0.5 of bit rate, and so on.
so Symbol rate = bit rate / number of bits per symbol.
try to relate the sampling rate to the bandwidth of the filter in terms of the Nyquest rate to be able to get the whole signal, otherwise there is an error.
