Hi,I want to ask .
I’m doing simulation of RoF-VLC for IoT application using Optisystem. As I’m doing basic signal configuration without any sweep parameter , my BER analyzer doesn’t display any output unless if I tick at eye diagram . For sweep parameter of bit rate , I set 1Mbps until 5Mbps and IoT frequency (at sine wave component) that I use is 2.4GHz . But the output at BER analyzer not display . Can you help me?
Hello,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
There could be few reasons why your BER doesn’t display anything else except the eye-diagram. Make sure your setup is correct and the global parameters you have entered are making sense as per your application. You can’t sweep the bit rate in the global parameters. So when you say you are sweeping bit rate from 1Mbps to 5Mbps, what exactly you are sweeping?
To check the effect of parameter sweeps of any component on the BER, please refer to the example: C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\OptiSystem 22.0 Samples\Introductory tutorials\Lesson 4 Parameter Sweeps – BER x Input power.osd
Sometimes, the circuit needs multiple signal iterations for simulation to converge and this can be setup by going to “Signals” window in the global parameters and setting the “Iterations” to a higher value. Once your system simulation converges, then you can visualize the change in the graphs of the BER by incrementing the value of “Signal Index” on the top right corner of the BER Analyzer window.
Please refer to the following example: C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\OptiSystem 22.0 Samples\Microwave and RoF optical systems\Radio over Fiber WDM SCM ASK.osd
Hope this helps?
Warm Regards.
