Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

Hello Optiwave Team,
I’m trying to simulate the setup from the paper titled:
“Modeling of Nonlinear Interference in the Same-Wavelength Bidirectional Coherent Fiber Communication Systems.”
I would really appreciate it if you could provide a template or OptiSystem example file for the SWB coherent optical system mentioned in the paper.
Thank you in advance!
Hello V Deepashree,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
There are many examples that supports bidirectional communication over the same fiber that can be found at C:\Users\USER NAME\Documents\OptiSystem 22.1 Samples\Metro and access systems\PON and CDMA systems\.
You can refer to these examples and build the system similar to the one mentioned in the reference.
If you want, we can design the exact system in the paper for a service charge. We charge $250USD/hr with 4hrs minimum charge. Let me know if you would like to take the paid service?
Warm Regards,
Saurabh Bedi.
