I need Rayleigh backscattering in simulating an OFDR system, how can I do this in OptiSystem?
Dear Mohammad,
You may use the bidirectional Optical Fiber component and enable the Rayleigh scattering in the Enhanced tab of the component properties window. Also, check the examples located at the following link for more guidance.
