hi, I would like to ask a basic question about mixing the signal in radio over fiber system. I have checked the example file ‘Radio over Fiber SCM ASK’, and it used Electrical adder to combine the pseudo-random bit sequence with the rf signal. While ‘RoF with Optical Interleaver’ used Electrical multiplier. I wonder what is the difference between this adder and multiplier, why both system use different tools.

Hi Jehan,
I think the theory for each example is different. you need to check each.
Adder is used just the output the summation consequently the spectrum with by the two signals combined together. while the multiplier produces the product of the two signals so the resulted spectrum contains different components.
