How to set orthogonal polarisation between two signals using polarisation controller in optisystem? How to set the angles?
Hi Leeba,
I think use of the “polarization controller” component from the polarization section in the OptiSystem passive library would be helpful in your case. The two azimuth and ellipticity parameters help you change the polarization state of the entering input to the component signal in an arbitrary position.
Regards
Can u pls say how to set 90 degree to a signal using it? what values to be entered for azimuth and ellipticity.
In order just to make a shift to a signal, you may use the “Polarization Phase Shift” component available in the same folder. You would just have to simply enter the shift angle you want to apply to the signal, and the shifts can be applied for both signal x-polarization and signal y-polarization.
Hello Leeba,
You can give azimuth = 90 and ellipticity = 0, azimuth = 0 and ellipticity = 0.
In optiwave tutorial, they have given two input signals with two polarization.
K. I will go through it.Thanks a lot Alistu and Sasha for your help.
