is it possible to use photonic crystal fiber instead of single-mode fiber in optisystem ?
i designed a PCF amplifier using optiFDTD and i want to add this design in a transmission system i already build on optisystem
We don’t have a physical model for PCF available in OptiSystem but if you only want to model the attenuation and dispersion curves this can be done with the single mode fiber component. Cheers.
