Dear community, I am trying to achieve phase subtraction with any component but it is not going well, idea is that when from one signal line I have phase of pi and on the other 0 I see the difference of pi and when phases are the same I see resulting phase difference 0, did someone try this?
Hello,
I suggest you to try the “Electrical Phase Shift.osd” example in the example directory: C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\OptiSystem 22.0 Samples\Component sample files\Passives Library\Electrical\
It’s a pretty simple setup where you can set the phase shift of 90 degree between two arms and see that at the output Oscilloscope, you will notice pi phase difference, that’s because of destructive interference. Whereas, if you set phase shift component in both the arms, and set the same phase shift in both arms, you will see the 0 phase difference. You will see no not phase difference.
You can use Electrical Phase Shift component to check phase difference.
Hope this helps?
Best,
Saurabh Bedi.
