Question:
I would like to design and simulate a pi/2-phase shifted fiber Bragg grating, that will be used in an optical fiber sensor. How can this be realized in OptiGrating?
Answer:
Please look at the sample in the OptiGrating installation directory named “WBGtransmission.ifo”. This example has 5 gratings with 4 phase shifts between them. Attached is a document that gives more information about this sample and how it was made. I have also attached an example of a Pi / 2 shifted fiber Bragg grating with transmission peak at 1.064 um.
