Hello Everyone,
I need a help to generate same pam4 signal at the output side after being amplified using soa. I attached a picture as well for the convenience. In the system i used two soa, i can see pam4 signal at the input side (3,1,-3,-1) is their four level, but i can see four levels at the output side. like at the output side it is showing some signal at the 0 level as well, so it is showing 5 level at the output side,. If anyone can help me on this one, then i will be thankful to him/her.

I am wondering why are you using the pump and x-coupler after the EDFA? What wavelength is used for the pump.
I recommend to remove them and check the wave form?
