Dear all
can we implement orbital angular mometum (OAM) in optisystem? , anyone have idea about that topic

Hello there,
I was about to ask this question to the forum since optisystem only can support HG and LG modes. but i will give you a hint and hofully the technicals here can support.
Usually researcher use “modes conversion along with spiral phase plates and SLM”
Please if you got a detailed answer, email me( yosiffz@internetworks.my)
hello there
is it possible in optisystem, i mean mode conversion ?
it is possible in matlab but it is too much copmlex
Prakash,
You can generate these types of modes with the Laguerre Transverse Mode Generator in the Multimode Library and use them as part of a free space project. However, currently the mode solver for the optical fiber components is for finding LP modes and therefore will not be able to support a vortex type mode.
I’ve attached an example capture.
Regards
hi damian sir
i mean conversion of LG Or HG Or LP mode to helical mode( change in wavefront of optical axis in helical manner so that we can achieve minimum BER for FSO, have you any idea for your software?
thanks for reply
