Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

The OptiSystem softwaresimulation poropram is considered the best one in communications world
why?
How are you stating this assumption?
OptiSystem is a very good piece of software but there are others good enough.
be more scientist in your statements , hehehe 🙂
Hi,
I have been designing passive optical components (AWGs, splitters, etc.) for many years. I know also other photonics software tools (Apollo Photonics, R-Soft, etc.). Regarding optiBPM (WDM-Phasar) this tool is slower than the other tools but it offers the simulation results that match the best with the measurements and therefore it is my favourite.
