Hi Everyone, My question is that in optical soliton there is a formula present To=Tfwhm/1.763 So kindly tell how could i find full width half maximum and also tell To is seperation between pulses or initial width?? Please clear me.
from where did you get this formula, what is the reference ?
non linear optics agarwal book 4th edition chapter 3 page no. 54
I think To is the half width of certain pulse shape (Gaussian, sech, ….).
for example T_FWHM = (1.665) To for Gaussian pulse. where To is defined as the half width (1/e intensity point). so for your relation, pls check the pulse temporal profile, and this is would be the relation.
ok thanks.
