Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

Helli fellows,
I would like to simulate the stimulated Brillouin scattering in Optical Ring Resonator with a single CW laser.
Please any Help to solve this
Hello Fabrice,
There is a new example in OptiSystem version 16 on SBS simulation which you could use it as a base for your project. The example can be found at

Thnaks Ahmad;
I meant is it possible to make the ring resonator in optisystem / any related component avaible? please help to clarify
Hello Fabrice,
you may use OptiSPICE to build a ring resonator then use it in OptiSystem for SBS modeling. Both OptiSystem and OptiSPICE work together.
Please note as I don’t have any information on the design, or a reference that you plan to simulate, then I can’t make a definite answer.
Regards,
Ahmad
thank you
