Hi all..
Hope you all good.. I’m trying to simulate the ofdm in optisys using matlab component .. as i saw here there are a number of you had worked on this subject.. i just want to know where did you reach and what are the problems had you face .. another question .. instead of using matlab code I’m using the simulink .. Is there any different?? and how we connect that? Thanks

Hi Rend,
I tried to simulate the OFDM using Matlab, however, it was really difficult for me to implement the whole capabilities of the OptiSystem 13 OFDM components. Right now, I am using these OFDM components for my work. You can see a part of my progress in the OFDM forum I started.

Hi Alistu
I just cant get you.. You mean ofdm block?? Instead of simulating it with matlab??-

You’re right, by “these OFDM components” I am referring to the OFDM components and not the Matlab component. However, you can see my progress with Matlab in one of my topics regarding OFDM component (as you have asked in your post to see other members progress in this area).

Yes , I’ll check it out.. As u studied that subject do you think that I can use simulink instead of code? Is that possible?

Hi Rend Alrays,
I am working on a project and need to generate LTE OFDM signal with 1024 sub-carriers and 20 MHz of signal width (channel band width). The only problem I have so far is that my signal width (channel bandwidth) is ~1 Ghz and don’t know how to generate signal with width of 20 MHz. I have also raised this problem in an other top that I created yesterday and extremely need the solution for it.
Best regards,

Integrating the matlab and optiwave is a tedious and time consuming job. I would rather suggest you to use the OFDM component block available with optiwave and set the parameters ap per your need.
I think you cannot integrate the simulink and optiwave as I have not come accross any reading which says both can work together. Use the sample designs available in the samples folder
