Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

Dear All,
I would like to simulate short optical pulse propagating in piece of standard fiber about 10 meter, this maybe based on SPM Self Phase Modulator or XPM (Cross Phase Modulator), this to test the fiber dispersion effect.
Also can some have ideas how could i write the code from Matlab to be read by Optisystem.
I’m having trouble, please need help with basic design file or useful information.
Thank you
Hi MFUAMBA,
there is a webinar on SPM and XPM, I think I sent the link to you where you have to register to get the webinar material. after you see it, feel free to ask any question to discuss.
Regarding the matlab cosimulation with OptiSystem, there is also another webinar explaining that.
I have created a simple example to you (attached)
, you can try it after you see the webinar. please put the .osd and the matlab file in the sae directory and try it.
best of luck and let me know if you have any question to discuss
Mohamed Abouseif

thank you so much for help.
Stay Blessed
ur welcome,
best of luck
