Does the digital backpropagation algorithm compensate for the nonlinear effects of the amplifiers…. Does the nonlinearity of the amplifier increase when the amplifier is increased?

I mean the digital backpropagation algorithm within the DSP component

The algorithms in the DSP is able to compensate for all nonlinearities in the same direction of transmitted signal where the DSP is located. The DSP is unidirectional component.
