Hi, Mohammod A. A. Abouself you can tell someone to calculate gamma. I can calculate like you that as you can calculate. My gamma value 0.001. After that I can calculate non linear length with 40MW power and non linear length become is 4e-5km and my dispersion length is 2.8km. So Is it right or wrong for optical soliton? But in agarwal book gamma value is 1.3 or 1.7.So kindly cLear me. I also a attach file.
I feel there is a big difference between the nonlinear length and dispersion length. based on your numbers dispersion can be neglected in calculation of pulse propagation!!!
which might be wrong as the soliton is generated as a results of interplay between nonlinearity and dispersion.
please revise the calculations of dispersion and nonlinearity lengths!!!
ok thanks
