Hi everyone, Hope you all are fine. My question is that what are possibe values or suitable valuse for non linearity parameter Gamma, effective area and input power of pulse for soliton generation. Kindly tell me.
Hi Abu Bakar,
in Agrawal book, “nonlinear fiber optic” there is a chapter 5 titled “Optical Soliton”. this chapter has many experiments data for soliton propagation.
here is some parameter of one experiment,
gamma 1.3 W^-1.Km^-1, core diameter 9.3 um, 1.55 um wavelength, peak input power is 1 W.
please check all the other parameters of dispersion as well.
thanks
Mohamed
ok thanks.
you can tell someone to calculate gamma. I can calculate like you that as you can calculate. My gamma value 0.001. After that I can calculate non linear length with 40MW power and non linear length become is 4e-5km and my dispersion length is 2.8km. So Is it right or wrong for optical soliton? But in agarwal book gamma value is 1.3 or 1.7.So kindly cLear me. I also a attach file.
what is meant of your answer?
