hello
I have a problem when I designed a 8x112gbps 16-qam fso system that the value of OSNR is very high( i think its not real) but the value of BER is acceptable , I noticed that the value of noise power is -100dbm for all channels and its not changed but I don’t know why i think this is the reason that osnr is high as attached below. I also want to ask about the value of bandwidth in mux and demux depend on what?
can anyone help me ?
thank you
Dear Jaafar,
check if the noise is enabled in the different components used in the project.
The MUX/DEMUX BW depends on the transmitted signal BW, i.e., used data rate and modulation scheme.
Regards,
Ahmad
