      Dear friends

hope you all will be fine

Plz refer to the attached screen shot of my simulation set up

the OSA-2 just after the EDFA shows noise bins. These bins are being transmitted to all OSAs next to OSA-2.How to eliminate these noise bins??i dont want to eliminate these bins by changing the noise threshold in OSA component properties because by doing so i may loose useful portion of spectrum too.
Plz tell me some other method to remove noise bins from all OSAs.
      regards

In the Layout properties go to the noise tab. From there make sure “Convert Noise Bins” is checked. You should verify in all of the components that they are either scripted to the layout parameter or are set correctly.

Make sure that option is set in the Optical Amplifier

      Dear sir D.Marek

I am proceeding as follows with reference to the screen shot of the simulation attached.

1.In layout=>Parameters=>Noise Tab=>Convert noise bins Check Box while selecting Mode is NORMAL.
2.In all components in set up like OPTICAL FIBER/OPTICAL AMP/DCF/HNLF/OBPF i did as Component properties=>Noise=>Check box convert noise bins while selecting normal mode.

i am still getting the same noise bins
      what is the problem???
      regards
      jawad
