Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

I applied MPO optimization to find the optimum carrier frequency of the frequency modulator for a range of frequency from 1 to 250GHz for DWDM multi-channel. but the calculation can not be continued because step termination tolerance was reached. what is the matter and how this problem can be solved?
with regards
Lana
Dear Lana,
you need to increase the number of steps to allow reaching the desired tolerance during the optimization process. You could monitor the variation from step to step through the optimization tab in the calculation window. The graphs will help you to change the number of steps and the other parameters in the optimization process.

Ahmad
