Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

dear comrade,
i have designed my edfa profile for generating multiple modes, but i need some clarification on modes, that how to generate the desired modes, and which modes are good to generate and how can we check out our work, analysis of mode filed diameter, i have attached my work for edfa profile , kindly go through it, and also i need how to add our doping material to the host silica fibre, because i couldnt get erbium doping material in doping concentration profile, so i need full guidance on that …..
After running the simulation go to the Mode Measure tab (tabs are at the bottom). This plot will display the mode field diameter (MFD) as a function of wavelength.
