Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

can anyone tell me what should be the format of pump mode file to be loaded in MM EDFA?
Dear Taban,
you may use the “Spatial CW Laser” component as a multimode pump. The component can be found in Default/Multimode Library/Transmitters/
You can control the number of modes generated etc.
A very good example (Spatial-Mode-Demultiplexing-Amplification.osd) on this topic can be found in the example library at
C:\Users\xxxxxxxxx\Documents\OptiSystem 15.2 Samples\Multimode systems
Which version of OptiSystem do you use?
Regards,
Ahmad
