Dear Jerart,
Currently, OptiSystem doesn’t support FBMC modulated signals. However, you may use OptiSystem Matlab component to create your models for generating FBMC signal in Matlab and use it in OptiSystem project for optical transmission.
We’ll be interested in integrating your work with OptiSystem. Please contact me at ahmad.atieh@optiwave.com if you plan to create FBMC signal in Matlab component and if you’d like to collaborate with Optiwave.
In terms of extending the reach, You need to experiment that. We didn’t try to extend this distance as it more that what is required for access networks.
