Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

Hi Everyone,
I am trying to calculate jitter from eye diagram. I could mark points on eye diagram, but could not obtain the histogram bins as shown in application resources, titled ‘Signal degradation – Jitter’.
Can someone clearly explain, how jitter is measured in the project ‘ProjectMeasuringJitter.osd’?
Thank you in advance.
Hello,
You may check the eye diagram datasheet that you can access from the component properties popup window that you can select by right click on the visualizer. Also, you may check the examples in the example library at the following link for more information. Please see the attachment.

Please check the data sheet of the Electrical Jitter component for details on the calculation.
Regards,
Ahmad
