Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

In articles for all optical logic for improvement extinction ration is used optical threshold functions
i want to is there a block in opticsystem with same operation optical threshold functions,
any example and guide.
thanks
best regards stackprogramer
Hi stackprogramer,
I am not familiar with this technique but I believe that our SOA components may possibly help (depends on the physical effect to be modeled). Do you have more specifics on the “optical threshold function” such as a reference paper or web link? Cheers.
thanks for reply.
this article use this technique

you can see snapshot of it,threshold functions in optic

Thanks for forwarding the links. I’ll take a look to see if we have something that can do the trick. I’ll get back as soon as I can. Cheers.
i am of the same view as that of Marc V.SOA can be used as threshold device.
@muhammad jawad thanks for guidance .
