Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

Hey, actually I wanted to introduce an optical delay in one of my paths of consideration but the output is always null. I want the signal to reach the port after a prescribed time of my original signal.i tried introducing a time delay but as I’m viewing both the original signal and the delayed signal in different oscilloscope after the PD, they have the same value at every instant. I can’t view them simultaneously as well. For example I need the delayed signal to reach out after 5ns or so.
Please let me know if anything is available regarding it
Hi Mishra,
I have created a simple project (attached) for you that have two Guassian pulses shifted by a delay component. I introduced the relative delay as a variable (sweep) from -0.05 ns to +0.05 ns. Pls run it and note how the two pulses appears in each time delay value.
you are free to use it in your design.
thanks
