      Dear All,

      I have had a problem in installing version 13 on my PC as my PC is 32 bit operating system. Now as per suggestions given by optiwave Tech support to look for 64 bit operating system i want to install the version 14 on my Laboratory PC which already has version 7 installed as well. I want to ask two things here:
      1. Can i keep both the versions on that PC. Will they work simultaneously?
      2. Will the files designed in version 7 be compatible with version 14?

      Hi kanwarpreet. Greetings.

      Well as far as your query is concerned, it has been already asked on this forum. I would suggest you to create another user on your PC and install version 14 on that new user only.
      About compatibility of older version with newer versions, sometimes it works and some times it may not. You can check it after installing it on your PC. I hope you find it useful.

        Hello Atul,

        Thank you so much for the suggestion. I tried to create another user and install version 14 and it got installed and now i have evaluation period of 30 days. Thank you so much your suggestion worked.

      Hi kanwarpreet…

      It has been rightly mentioned by atul sharma,that create another user on your PC and install version 14 on that new user only.Also check for compatibility after installing..

      Hi Kanwarjeet Singh,
      As far my knowledge and experience, you can’t install more than one version of Optisystem on same window User.
      I also agree to the points that we could install both software on different user 1 and user2.
      As atul sir explained it very nicely too.

      So, first i suggest you to partition your pc as two user then try to install both.

      Hope your problem will gets solved sooner.

      hi kanwarjeet singh .. optisys in forward compatible .. and you optisys 7 file will definitely work in optisys 14… you can create a partition in your system too as explained by rajguru as well as atul.. both approaches are good

        Thank you for the suggestions . Yes it worked but i had to redesign my system and it worked fine. For now i have 30 day evaluation trial period.

      Hi Kanwarpreet,

      It is for sure you can’t install more than one version of Optisystem on same window User.. However I am not sure about whether we can install both software on different user 1 and user2… Do give it a try… Hope it works
