Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiSystem is a comprehensive software design suite that enables users to plan, test, and simulate optical links in the transmission layer of modern optical networks.
OptiInstrument addresses the needs of researchers, scientists, photonic engineers, professors and students who are working with instruments.
OptiSPICE is the first circuit design software for analysis of integrated circuits including interactions of optical and electronic components. It allows for the design and simulation of opto-electronic circuits at the transistor level, from laser drivers to transimpedance amplifiers, optical interconnects and electronic equalizers.
OptiFDTD is a powerful, highly integrated, and user friendly CAD environment that enables the design and simulation of advanced passive and non-linear photonic components.
OptiBPM is a comprehensive CAD environment used for the design of complex optical waveguides. Perform guiding, coupling, switching, splitting, multiplexing, and demultiplexing of optical signals in photonic devices.
The optimal design of a given optical communication system depends directly on the choice of fiber parameters. OptiFiber uses numerical mode solvers and other models specialized to fibers for calculating dispersion, losses, birefringence, and PMD.
Emerging as a de facto standard over the last decade, OptiGrating has delivered powerful and user friendly design software for modeling integrated and fiber optic devices that incorporate optical gratings.

I was simulating a system and when in upstream direction, I connect DEMUX with circulator directly and after opening BER analyzer it gives an error saying, improper argument. When I attach an amplifier or something in the upstream direction just before DEMUX it shows eye diagram. Pls help. I am attaching simulation file here.
Hi Shahbaz,
It pretty much looks like a bug. You had formerly mentioned about optical amplifier being used and the problem being solved. Now I used an optical amplifier with no gain and the problem with BER analyzers was solved. Perhaps Damian will clarify this further on Monday.
Regards
I understand. I did not want to use amplifier in upstream direction. Since, it was not giving result without it. I had to place DFA black box with gain control.. If I set gain value to 0 will it effect the result or it will act as there is no amplifier attached?
If you change the gain to zero, still some noise will be added to your signal. I used an optical amplifier and put the values for gain and noise figure zero, and I encountered the problem again. However, if you think the amount of noise added by amplifier does not change your results that much, you may use it, although the main problem remains unsolved.
I tried simulating the system with gain 0 in upstream direction. It worked with a little bit of noise. However, you are right the bug stays there.
