I have just started working on Optifdtd so that I can do more in my research. I know how to change major,minor radius of the rods but the I’m still unable to figure out where to define Lattice constant (a) along with the radius for example if r is 0.25a then how to define it in Optifdtd software. Please reply if anyone knows.
In the Crystal Lattice Properties window you can change the lattice constant by modifying the scale value. They have the same meaning. I suggest following the tutorial at :
First of all thanks for your reply. You mean to say I have to define lattice constant like the one I have done in the screenshot below(screenshot 1) ?. Earlier I was defining it in “elliptical waveguide properties” as shown in screenshot 2
Correct, the scale gives the distance between unit cells, same as a lattice constant.
