Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiSystem is a comprehensive software design suite that enables users to plan, test, and simulate optical links in the transmission layer of modern optical networks.
OptiInstrument addresses the needs of researchers, scientists, photonic engineers, professors and students who are working with instruments.
OptiSPICE is the first circuit design software for analysis of integrated circuits including interactions of optical and electronic components. It allows for the design and simulation of opto-electronic circuits at the transistor level, from laser drivers to transimpedance amplifiers, optical interconnects and electronic equalizers.
OptiFDTD is a powerful, highly integrated, and user friendly CAD environment that enables the design and simulation of advanced passive and non-linear photonic components.
OptiBPM is a comprehensive CAD environment used for the design of complex optical waveguides. Perform guiding, coupling, switching, splitting, multiplexing, and demultiplexing of optical signals in photonic devices.
The optimal design of a given optical communication system depends directly on the choice of fiber parameters. OptiFiber uses numerical mode solvers and other models specialized to fibers for calculating dispersion, losses, birefringence, and PMD.
Emerging as a de facto standard over the last decade, OptiGrating has delivered powerful and user friendly design software for modeling integrated and fiber optic devices that incorporate optical gratings.

Hi everyone!
Please help me how to create a BEN (Burst enable) in the Optisystem .
Thanks !
Hi,
could you explain more about your project to try to help.
thanks
Mohamed
Hi Mohamed,
Thank you for your replying, now I’m designing an FBG-PON that uses BEN in ONU, but I do not know how to create BEN for each ONU.
BINH
Hi Nguyen,
did you try to use any of electrical pulse generators, such as RZ or NRZ pulse generator..? then adjust the input parameters to get the required sequence?
I think that might work as I see from Ben.jpg file
hope it helps, let me know
thanks
Mohamed
Hi Mohamed
Thank you for your help.
I have designed a BEN with 1ns width, how to set it to 1um, can you help me, please ?
BINH
Hello Binh,
did you mean by the BEN the same as digital delay generator shown in the following link
https://www.thinksrs.com/downloads/pdfs/manuals/DG645m.pdf
If yes did you solve your problem ??
kind regards,
Shaymaa
Hi Shaymaa
Thank you for your answer, but I want to design a simulation with a Burst Modulator at 2 Kbit/s bit rate, while the layout is 1 Gbits/s bit rate. I tried to design but I cannot it. The simulation only works when the bit rates of Layout and Burst Modulator are equal or the difference is not too large. can you help me? thanks!
