Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

is there any method to change propagation constant beta0 of optical fiber in optisystem ? as i know that the propagation constant(phase constant) value equals to (2*pi*refractive index / wavelength ) but i didn’t find any parameter that change propagation constant or refractive index in the optical fiber component .
Good day is so you check the “frequency domain param”
Hope that helps
my compliments
i see that but these parameters control the dispersion in optical fiber , i asked about the linear refractive index of the fiber can be changed in this component or not !!!
ok
You can change these options by using the Measured-Index Multimode fiber component or the parabolic one. Both of these components are in the Spatial Library.
