Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

Hello.
I am a new user opti system
I want to try counting “RISE TIME BUDGET”
Can you give me an example link opti system to calculate “rise time budget” and how to read the simulation result?
Your help in this case will help me a lot.
thank you
Good day,
To calculate the rise budget you will need to estimate the rise time performance of various components such as the transmitter and receiver. This can be measured using the optical and electric time domain viewers (you can use the marker feature to find the 80-20 or 90-10 rise points).
I recommend checking out the following link on the parameters associated with rise time budget calculation (many of these parameters can be set in OptiSystem): https://bohr.wlu.ca/hshodiev/PC481/download/PC481_7%20Part%20II.pdf
Cheers.
