Dear respected researchers
please let me know how to use or create highly non linear fiber loop and DCF loop in optisystems based simulations as in optical fiber library of version 7 of optisystem, there is no such components?

Hi, You can change the parameters of the SSMF in optisystem to be HNLF,
change the effective area of the fiber from the default value (80 squared micron) for another value, for example, make it 10 squared micron to get nonlinear parameter equal about 10 w^-1.km^-1. according to the following formula
nonlinear parameter = (2*pi*n2)/(zero dispersion wavelength*effective area)
