in this tutorial when i changed the length of SMF from 50 km to 1 km it take more more time to simulate it , i can’t know why although the distance was decreased it take very long time please any one help me
note that i am use optiwave version 13
Hi Ahmed;
I run the project.It take 13 Seconds and completed successfully without error.
if you modify the length of smf fiber to 1 km not 50 km it will take more time
I relaced all 50km SSMf to 1km and changed EDFA gains to 0.2dB ten it take 6 seconds.
SMF take long in time in case of nonlinearity calculation because it increase the no. of steps if the power is large.
thank you very much but why you put 0.2 db for gain and how you calculate it ???
attenuation = 0.2dB/km and the length = 1 km
so gain = 0.2dB/km * 1km = 0.2 dB
