Hi,
I want to make graph “Receiver sensitivity vs BER” and “BER vs Received Input Power” in simulation of 1.25 GPON but i could not find “receiver sensitivity”,”BER” and “Received Input Power” options in report page. Please help.
file is attached
hello Junnaiad
You can check these values by right clickung at BER vizulizer and click on results and you will get to know rx power values and BER etc.In report page you can click on + sidn on BER vizulizer to drag these values
These link help you alot .Check links
The receiver sensitivity dependps upon the definition you use. Tipically is defined as rx power for which BER=1E-12, so you need to find it with many iterations on the rx power for your design.
Hi Junnaid and welcome to the Optiwave forums! I had more or less the same question about sensitivity once and Damian introduced the link below which contains exercises with Optiperformer:
Please download and study lesson 6 if you have the time, which aims at giving us a sense about what receiver sensitivity actually is.
