Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiSystem is a comprehensive software design suite that enables users to plan, test, and simulate optical links in the transmission layer of modern optical networks.
OptiInstrument addresses the needs of researchers, scientists, photonic engineers, professors and students who are working with instruments.
OptiSPICE is the first circuit design software for analysis of integrated circuits including interactions of optical and electronic components. It allows for the design and simulation of opto-electronic circuits at the transistor level, from laser drivers to transimpedance amplifiers, optical interconnects and electronic equalizers.
OptiFDTD is a powerful, highly integrated, and user friendly CAD environment that enables the design and simulation of advanced passive and non-linear photonic components.
OptiBPM is a comprehensive CAD environment used for the design of complex optical waveguides. Perform guiding, coupling, switching, splitting, multiplexing, and demultiplexing of optical signals in photonic devices.
The optimal design of a given optical communication system depends directly on the choice of fiber parameters. OptiFiber uses numerical mode solvers and other models specialized to fibers for calculating dispersion, losses, birefringence, and PMD.
Emerging as a de facto standard over the last decade, OptiGrating has delivered powerful and user friendly design software for modeling integrated and fiber optic devices that incorporate optical gratings.

Since i am new to optisystem software,i wanted to know about global parameter window
1.) how to select sample
2) what is time window
Hi Sam sung, welcome to optisystem
you can check the optsystem documents for the information about global parameter window
optisystem>documents>global parameter
1) You can select any no. of samples 16,32,64,128,but as you increase the sample per bit it will increase the accuracy and also simulation time.
2)you can calculate time window as sequence length/bit rate ,it calculates the time of your one sequence.
Thank you abhishek.you have been very helpfull
I am designing a WDM system but no eye diagram appeared on BER analyzer. Can you please attach any sample system??????
Hi sam sung,I have attached a 16 channel WDM from optisystem samples. You can check more WDM samples from optisystem
optisystem>samples>WDM transmitter
Thank you Abhishek
How to set the bandwidth of MUX and DEMUX? every time i am changing the BW ,results gets changed
You can set the BW= 2*bit rate
e.g
Bit rate =10Gbps
then B.w of Mux/Demux =20 GHz
Thank you,now i get better results. In some systems they take BW four times.Does it increase system effciency.
