Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

Can anybody help me out in specifying the way to use FSO Weather conditions channel in the Opti-system. FSO channel with different weather conditions exists but I’m not able to connect it.
Dear Vankireddy,
the new FSO weather component is a stand alone component, which means it is used to calculate the attenuation of the FSO channel for certain conditions, then load the attenuation result value (or file) into the regular FSO component. In old versions of OptiSystem, you guess the attenuation in the FSO channel. This new component allows you to calculate the attenuation correctly.
Regards,
Ahmad
