Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

Hi
I am learning optisystem matlab co simulation using the examples provided by optiwave. Can anyone please tell me why this error occurs in matlab and how to solve it?
Undefined function or variable ‘InputPort1’.
Error in a (line 2) OutputPort1 = InputPort1;
Hi Radhika,
This error somehow implies there is no input to your Matlab component, otherwise there is no other way you wouldn’t have “InputPort1” vector. But this is really weird. So can you please upload your Matlab program along with the OptiSystem osd file so that I would be able to check and see if I can help?
Regards
