Hello,
I am trying to understanding the electronic jitter component, and I found the equation in the help icon on optisystem.
Is there any reference where this equation was taken from?
I would like to read about it, in order to understand how the equation is simulating the injection of jitter to the signal
Thanks for your help in advance.
Best regards,
Young
Hi Young,
I found this White Paper about electronic jitter that might help you:

Let me know if this is useful for you…
Alessandro
hello, thanks for your reply.
But I was more interested in the equation that the electronic jitter component was using to inject jitter to the systmem by the optiwave software rather than how to measure the jitter from the signal. I would like to know the reference paper that might explain the equation more throughly.
Hi Young, in this case it is better if someone from OptiWave support answers directly to your question, because the documentation does not show any reference for the equation you mention.
Best Regards,
Alessandro
