Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

Hi
I am working on Dispersion Compensation of CO-OFDM system.
My problem is in Electrical Dispersion Compensation.
I use “DSP.m” of Optiwave in sample “100 Gbps DP-QPSK System with DSP.osd” in my simulation; but i think do not work correctly for CO-OFDM.
Could any one help me to know: How can i Compensate Dispersion Electrically in CO-OFDM?
I attached my simulation to see.
Regards
Hi Sadra,
In your system implementation you have used OptiSystem 12 OFDM modulator and demodulator. OptiSystem 13 OFDM components have the capability of using training symbols and pilot signals, which can be used to tackle nonlinearity and dispersion by channel estimation. Are you interested in using it?

Hi Sadra,
As said by alistu, you can go for OptiSystem 13 OFDM components. But you will have to use BER Test Set instead of PRBS generator, leading consumption of time in setting of parameter.
Hi
Thanks a lot for your answers, Gokul & alistu.
I surly try your suggestions.
Regards in Advance
