Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

Hi..everyone
—-I am designing 8/16/32 channels DWDM system. When i used Bandwith of MUX/DMUX from 10GHZ to 100GHZ .the system performance has increased. Why this ishappening? and If i used 100GHz it will be correct or there is any formula to decide the value of bandwidth for MUX/DMUX.
Please help..
—-another problem is ..In 32 channel DWDM system with all compensation techniques or OPC technique, when i used EDFA in between SMF and DCF …it doesn’t give good result but when i remove EDFA ..the performance has increased. What is reason behind this..please clear..because we use EDFA to improve the signal strength but here its opposite..
Hello Rajkumar,
The bandwidth of the MUX/DEMUX is crucial in your DWDM system. Please find attached a paper that discussed this issue that will give you some guidance.

Ahmad
Thank you very much sir.
