Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

Hi all,
How to generate a dual-tone signal, here tone refers to the frequency of the carrier that is to be used for modulating the CW laser output. is multiplexing necessary for this.?

Dhiman
Please anyone I am still waiting for your suggestion.
Regards
Hi Dhiman,
One way I have seen other than multiplexing is the use of a broadband light source along with narrowband filters that each only pass the spectrum of a specific frequency (which is the carrier frequency). And the number of filters used is dependent on the tones you want the light source to have.

Hi Alistu, I think that will be quite complex and expensive to do so, do you have any sample design or paper to implement as you have mentioned here that uses this technique. Thank you for the reply.
