I am working with FBG and getting a delay of 36 ps at my center wavelength, How can I reduce this delay??
By varying which grating parameters i can achieve less delay
Many parameters affect delay. One of them is index modulation. A higher index modulation will result in the optical wave penetrating a shorter distance into the grating. The shorter distance will result in less delay, since the wave need not travel as far to finish the reflection.
