ParticipantHi Khadija,
If by compensation you mean dispersion compensation, then you can either use electrical dispersion compensation or using dispersion compensating fiber in the system design. If you are interested in more specific information, I suggest you elaborate more on what you exactly want to do.

ParticipantHi Khadija,
As alistu mentioned, it would be more appropriate if you try to be more specific about the problem.

What is it exactly that you want to compensate in your signal ?
Thanks

ParticipantI want to compensate by using DSP ( compensate all Fibre Transmission Impairments )
When increase the fiber length.
I’m using DCF but this compensate only CD.-

ParticipantFor this purpose, you can use the DSP component available in OptiSystem. In order to get more information about how to set up and use the component in OptiSystem, I suggest you consider some from many examples available in OptiSystem samples with DSP component being used and ask any specific question you might face.

Participanthi omran,
generally using digital signal processors is only to enhance the compensation in the channel using dispersion compensation fiber.with regards

ParticipantNow that you have Matlab program for the DSP component and you want to co-simulate Matlab with OptiSystem, all you need to do is make adjustments to the format of your Matlab codes and use Matlab component to do the co-simulation. For this, I suggest you go through tutorials and files available in OptiSystem samples regarding Matlab co-simulation to learn how to make the necessary changes.

ParticipantHi Khadija,
Could you please upload your OptiSystem implementation of the PS-QPSK scheme file where Matlab component is to be used along with the related already available Matlab codes if it is possible? Meanwhile I suggest you search in google for formerly started Optiwave forum topics about dispersion compensation using Matlab, even though you may not find what you are exactly looking for.
