Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

I have solved the rate equation of laser with the help of MATLAB and got the power graph and interfaced with the Opti system. I fed electrical signal to the MATLAB component and got a power of optical signal. The output of MATLAB component viewed in optical time domain visualizer in the Opti system is not matched with output in the MATLAB (power vs time graph).
How to obtain the same output in optical time domain visualizer as in MATLAB power graph?
Dear Dharun,
you need to create the optical signal as complex signal when loading it into OptiSystem in order to work properly. You can’t load it as intensity.

Ahmad
