Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

Hi.
Can anyone please tell me if I design a 4 user co-ofdm gigabit passive optical network, and my data rate is 15Gbps, how much the symbol rate should be? I have divided 15/4users and its 3.75symbol rate. is this a correct way to get the symbol rate?
Kindly help me out.
Thanks.
Hello Kam,
What modulation scheme are you using before using OFDM? That would affect the symbol rate.
Regards,
Ahmad
I am using 16QAM. Thanks
they you need to divide the bit rate by 4 to get the symbol rate.

Ahmad
